No artist or designer has been more prolific in introducing banknote design to cryptocurrency. Since 2017, Tom Badley has created hundreds of designs that reference crypto and blockchain, and has directly interacted with collectors, charities, the world of NFTs, metaverse, and organizations working to make crypto-enabled cash a reality. Tom worked in the banknote industry as a designer, starting in 2015. Since 2019, he started Independent Currencies to meet blockchain design demand, and has since been continuously involved in the cryptocurrency and NFT space. With hundreds of designs and artworks completed, the examples of completed projects and circulating products has grown too numerous to catalogue here. This video is intended as a brief introduction to the world of banknote design in the context of cryptocurrency.
